La presente Variante, costituita dal testo della Norma IEC 61008-1:2010/A1:2012, modifica e aggiorna la Norma CEI EN 61008-1:2014-01 (Fascicolo 13304) relativa alle prescrizioni generali degli interruttori differenziali senza sganciatori di sovracorrente incorporati con funzionamento dipendente o indipendente dalla tensione di rete, per installazioni domestiche e similari. La presente Variante rappresenta una revisione tecnica di carattere generale della Norma CEI EN 61008-1:2014-01, rispetto alla quale introduce le seguenti significative modifiche:
- Aggiunta della nuova classificazione "Secondo il tipo di morsetti";
- L'Articolo 8 "Prescrizioni costruttive e di funzionamento" e l'Articolo 9 "Prove" sono stati ampiamente modificati;
- L'Allegato B "Determinazione delle distanze di isolamento in aria e superficiali" e l'Allegato J (normativo) "Prescrizioni particolari relative agli interruttori differenziali con morsetti senza vite per conduttori esterni di rame" vengono completamente sostituiti;
- Aggiunta del nuovo Allegato K (normativo) "Prescrizioni particolari per gli interruttori differenziali con morsetti piatti a connessione rapida".

International Classification for Standards (ICS) is an international classification system for technical standards.

The ICS is a hierarchical classification organized on three levels.

Level 1 covers the main fields of activity in standardization, e.g. road vehicle engineering, agriculture, metallurgy.

Each field has a two-digit notation, e.g.

  43    Road Vehicle Engineering

The main fields are subdivided into groups (level 2). The notation of a group consists of the field notation and a three-digit group number, separated by a point, e.g.

  43.040    Road vehicle systems

Some groups are further divided into sub-groups (level 3). The notation of a sub-group consists of the group notation and a two-digit number, separated by a point, e.g.

  43.040.20 Lighting, signaling and warning devices
