La presente Norma riguarda la sicurezza delle levigatrici elettriche e delle lucidatrici elettriche diverse dal tipo a disco rotante, che sono coperte dalla IEC 60745-2-3.
La norma si applica tra l’altro alle levigatrici a nastro, alle levigatrici e lucidatrici a moto alternativo, ed a quelle orbitali e ad orbita casuale.
La presente Norma contiene anche la Modifica CENELEC A11:2007 che allinea il paragrafo 6.2 relativo alle vibrazioni, al nuovo sottoparagrafo 6.2 della EN 60745-1:2006.
La Norma deve essere usata insieme alla EN 60745-1:2006.

Per le levigatrici elettriche e per le lucidatrici elettriche diverse dal tipo a disco di tipo meccanico si segue la Norma EN 792-8.
La presente Norma riporta il testo in inglese e italiano della EN 60745-2-4; rispetto al precedente fascicolo n. 8834E di maggio 2007, essa contiene la traduzione completa della EN sopra indicata.
La presente Norma é annullata e sostituita dalla Nuova edizione, CEI EN 60745-2-4:2010-08 (CEI 107-120), tuttavia rimane applicabile fino al 1-05-2012.

ICS

International Classification for Standards (ICS) is an international classification system for technical standards.

The ICS is a hierarchical classification organized on three levels.

Level 1 covers the main fields of activity in standardization, e.g. road vehicle engineering, agriculture, metallurgy.

Each field has a two-digit notation, e.g.
