La presente Norma fa parte della serie IEC/CLC 60745 e si occupa della sicurezza elettrica di smerigliatrici, levigatrici e lucidatrici a disco.
Essa si applica alle smerigliatrici con velocità di rotazione nominale corrispondente alla velocità periferica di 80 m/sec, levigatrici, lucidatrici a disco, comprese quelle di tipo angolare, verticale e diritte.
Si applica inoltre ad utensili con capacità nominale non superiore a 230 mm.
La Norma non si applica invece alle levigatrici e alle lucidatrici ad orbita casuale, coperte dalla 60745-2-4.
Nella Norma tra l’altro vengono definite le marcature e le istruzioni di uso, i pericoli e la resistenza meccanica, le condizioni di prova, prescrizioni particolari per gli strumenti alimentati a batteria, caratteristiche e spessore dei dispositivi di protezione.

La Norma deve essere usata congiuntamente alla EN 60745-1:2006.
La presente Norma é annullata e sostituita dalla Nuova edizione, CEI EN 60745-2-3:2011-06 (CEI 107-129), tuttavia rimane applicabile fino al 1-02-2014.

ICS

International Classification for Standards (ICS) is an international classification system for technical standards.

The ICS is a hierarchical classification organized on three levels.

Level 1 covers the main fields of activity in standardization, e.g. road vehicle engineering, agriculture, metallurgy.

Each field has a two-digit notation, e.g.

  43    Road Vehicle Engineering

The main fields are subdivided into groups (level 2). The notation of a group consists of the field notation and a three-digit group number, separated by a point, e.g.

  43.040    Road vehicle systems

Some groups are further divided into sub-groups (level 3). The notation of a sub-group consists of the group notation and a two-digit number, separated by a point, e.g.

  43.040.20 Lighting, signaling and warning devices
