La presente Norma internazionale riguarda la sicurezza delle pompe di calore elettriche (comprese le pompe di calore per l'acqua calda potabile/sanitaria) , i condizionatori d'aria e i deumidificatori che incorporano motocompressori sigillati.
Rientrano in questa norma anche i riscaldatori supplementari e quanto previsto per la loro installazione separata, ma solo per i riscaldatori progettati come parte dell'apparecchio nel suo complesso, con i dispositivi di comando incorporati nell'apparecchio.
Nella Norma vengono trattati i pericoli che comunemente possono verificarsi usando gli apparecchi suddetti in ambienti domestici.
Tra l'altro vengono considerati gli aspetti relativi a : Accesso alle parti in tensione, potenza assorbita, riscaldamento, resistenza all'umidità, stabilità e pericoli meccanici, resistenza meccanica, resistenza al calore, costruzione, corrente di dispersione, funzionamento anormale, accumulo di brina, marcatura, ecc.
La presente Norma recepisce le Norme EN 60335-2-40:2003-03, EN 60335-2-40/A11:2004-07 e EN 60335-2-40/A12:2005-02. La presente Norma è annullata e sostituita dalla Nuova Edizione CEI EN IEC 60335-2-40:2023-10 tuttavia applicabile fino al 01-03-2026 La presente Norma è annullata e sostituita dalla Nuova Edizione CEI EN 60335-2-40:2024-01 tuttavia rimane applicabile fino al 01-03-2026

ICS

International Classification for Standards (ICS) is an international classification system for technical standards.

The ICS is a hierarchical classification organized on three levels.

Level 1 covers the main fields of activity in standardization, e.g. road vehicle engineering, agriculture, metallurgy.

Each field has a two-digit notation, e.g.

  43    Road Vehicle Engineering

The main fields are subdivided into groups (level 2). The notation of a group consists of the field notation and a three-digit group number, separated by a point, e.g.

Some groups are further divided into sub-groups (level 3). The notation of a sub-group consists of the group notation and a two-digit number, separated by a point, e.g.
