La presente Norma specifica i requisiti generali per la costruzione, le prestazioni e la prova di rivelatori di gas naturale e di rivelatori di GPL, destinati a funzionamento continuo in installazione fissa, per uso domestico e similare. Ai fini di tale norma per uso domestico e similare si intende l’uso in unità immobiliare o parte di essa adibita ad uso abitativo, in studi professionali o sedi di persone giuridiche private, in associazioni, in circoli e simili. Fornisce inoltre le indicazioni per l’installazione, l’impiego, l’immagazzinamento e il trasporto di tali rivelatori. Si applica ai rivelatori di gas naturale e ai rivelatori di GPL alimentati elettricamente e a tutti i dispositivi che possono essere collegati a distanza o localmente ad un rivelatore di gas, ad esclusione delle elettrovalvole di intercettazione del gas.
Non si applica ai rivelatori di gas previsti per uso industriale o professionale o come rivelatori di fumo o fuoco; agli apparecchi aventi solo funzione di allarme o aventi diverse caratteristiche costruttive, a sistemi incorporanti centrali dotate di proprio alimentatore centralizzato e collegate a rivelatori o sensori remoti, o ad apparecchi previsti per la rivelazione di gas pericolosi per la salute (per esempio ossido di carbonio, CO).
La presente Norma costituisce la ristampa senza modifiche, secondo il nuovo progetto di veste editoriale, della Norma pari numero ed edizione (Fascicolo 2462).
Annullata e sostituita dalla Norma CEI UNI EN 50194:2001-07, rimane tuttavia in vigore in parallelo con quest’ultima fino al 01-08-2002.

ICS

International Classification for Standards (ICS) is an international classification system for technical standards.

The ICS is a hierarchical classification organized on three levels.

Level 1 covers the main fields of activity in standardization, e.g. road vehicle engineering, agriculture, metallurgy.

Each field has a two-digit notation, e.g.

  43    Road Vehicle Engineering

The main fields are subdivided into groups (level 2). The notation of a group consists of the field notation and a three-digit group number, separated by a point, e.g.

  43.040    Road vehicle systems

Some groups are further divided into sub-groups (level 3). The notation of a sub-group consists of the group notation and a two-digit number, separated by a point, e.g.

  43.040.20 Lighting, signaling and warning devices
