La Norma si applica agli apparecchi radiologici per diagnostica medica e ai loro sottogruppi. Il suo scopo è quello di stabilire delle prescrizioni generali di radioprotezione contro la radiazione ionizzante negli apparecchi radiologici per diagnostica medica, in modo da tenere l’equivalente di dose al paziente, all’operatore e all’altro personale al livello minimo possibile. Alcune prescrizioni comprendono varianti per i diversi tipi di apparecchi radiologici. Ciò allo scopo di allargare il campo di applicazione senza aggiunte o modifiche, specialmente in riferimento ai tipi di apparecchi radiologici correntemente utilizzati, in radiodiagnostica medica. Si applicano prevalentemente alla radiazione X dopo la sua generazione. Le prescrizioni per il controllo dell’energia elettrica utilizzata per generare radiazione X, che è anche un aspetto importante della radioprotezione, sono incluse nella EN 60601-1 (Norma CEI 62-5 e relative varianti) e nelle Norme Particolari per la sicurezza degli apparecchi interessati.
La presente Norma costituisce la ristampa senza modifiche, secondo il nuovo progetto di veste editoriale, della Norma pari numero ed edizione (Fascicolo 2670 E).
La presente Norma é annullata e sostituita dalla Nuova edizione, CEI EN 60601-1-3:2009-11 (CEI 62-69); tuttavia rimane applicabile, se usata congiuntamente ad una Parte 2a, fino alla scadenza della DOW (data di ritiro delle norme nazionali contrastanti) della Parte 2a corrispondente.

ICS

International Classification for Standards (ICS) is an international classification system for technical standards.

The ICS is a hierarchical classification organized on three levels.

Level 1 covers the main fields of activity in standardization, e.g. road vehicle engineering, agriculture, metallurgy.

Each field has a two-digit notation, e.g.

  43    Road Vehicle Engineering

The main fields are subdivided into groups (level 2). The notation of a group consists of the field notation and a three-digit group number, separated by a point, e.g.

  43.040    Road vehicle systems

Some groups are further divided into sub-groups (level 3). The notation of a sub-group consists of the group notation and a two-digit number, separated by a point, e.g.

  43.040.20 Lighting, signaling and warning devices
