Questa Norma specifica i requisiti generali e di sicurezza per i moduli a diodi ad emissione luminosa (LED) dei seguenti tipi:
- moduli LED non integrati (moduli LEDni) e moduli LED semi-integrati (moduli LEDsi) per il funzionamento a tensione costante, corrente costante o potenza costante;
- moduli LED integrati (moduli LEDi) previsti per l'uso con alimentazioni in corrente continua fino a 250 V o in corrente alternata fino a 1 000 V a 50 Hz o 60 Hz.
Le modifiche tecniche più significative di questa edizione rispetto alla precedente riguardano:
- il campo di applicazione è stato chiarito;
- i riferimenti normativi sono stati aggiornati;
- sono state introdotte le definizioni di "modulo LED sostituibile" "modulo LED non sostituibile" e "modulo LED non sostituibile dall'utente";
- sono state eliminate le definizioni di "modulo LED sostituibile dall'utente";
- l’articolo relativo alla marcatura è stato ristrutturato e sono stati modificati i requisiti di marcatura per i moduli LED da incorporare;
- sono state riviste le disposizioni per i morsetti e la gestione del calore;
- sono state introdotte informazioni per la progettazione degli apparecchi di illuminazione per quanto riguarda la tensione di lavoro e il contatto con l'acqua ed è stata introdotta una prova di temperatura anormale.
La Norma in oggetto sostituisce completamente la Norma CEI EN 62031:2009-02, che rimane applicabile fino al 18-12-2022.
La presente Norma riporta la traduzione completa della EN IEC 62031; la versione inglese è riportata nel fascicolo 17486E di giugno 2020.

ICS

International Classification for Standards (ICS) is an international classification system for technical standards.

The ICS is a hierarchical classification organized on three levels.

Level 1 covers the main fields of activity in standardization, e.g. road vehicle engineering, agriculture, metallurgy.

Each field has a two-digit notation, e.g.

  43    Road Vehicle Engineering

The main fields are subdivided into groups (level 2). The notation of a group consists of the field notation and a three-digit group number, separated by a point, e.g.

  43.040    Road vehicle systems

Some groups are further divided into sub-groups (level 3). The notation of a sub-group consists of the group notation and a two-digit number, separated by a point, e.g.

  43.040.20 Lighting, signaling and warning devices
