Il presente documento definisce il modello STI (Speech Transmission Index), i segnali di prova, i metodi di misura e di previsione. L'obiettivo di questo documento è quello di fornire un manuale completo per tutti i tipi di utenti del modello STI nei settori dell'audio, delle comunicazioni e dell'acustica. Il presente documento non fornisce criteri di STI per la certificazione dei canali di trasmissione (ad esempio i criteri per un sistema di allarme vocale), ma alcuni valori tipici dell'applicazione sono forniti nell'Allegato G. Ogni metodo di misura ha limitazioni ed il lettore deve fare riferimento ai paragrafi che riguardano le limitazioni come quelle sulla privacy vocale, l'eco ed i sistemi che utilizzano la compressione vocale digitale (vocoders). Il presente documento non tratta l'effetto del rumore fluttuante sull’STI, sebbene alcune osservazioni generali nell'affrontare questo complesso problema siano fornite in 7.13 e 8.9.3. Questa edizione comprende i seguenti significativi cambiamenti tecnici rispetto all'edizione precedente:
a) lo spettro del segnale di prova vocale maschile è stato modificato, con significative riduzioni nelle bande a 125 Hz e 250 Hz in fase di attuazione;
b) sono state apportate alcune correzioni alle formule;
c) sono state incluse ulteriori informazioni sulle procedure di previsione e misura;
d) sono stati eliminati i fattori di spettro e di ponderazione per la voce femminile;
e) sono state aggiunte informazioni di verifica per i dispositivi di misura dell'STI;
f) i rapporti tra l'STI ed il numero di altre misure di intelligibilità del parlato sono stati aggiornati nell'Allegato E;
g) nell'Allegato M sono fornite maggiori informazioni sugli adeguamenti dei risultati misurati dell'STI per simulare gli effetti del rumore ambientale alternativo e dei livelli vocali.
La Norma in oggetto sostituisce completamente la Norma CEI EN 60268-16:2012-06, che rimane applicabile fino al 30-10-2023.
Questa Norma viene pubblicata dal CEI nella sola lingua inglese in quanto particolarmente mirata a settori specialistici.

ICS

International Classification for Standards (ICS) is an international classification system for technical standards.

The ICS is a hierarchical classification organized on three levels.

Level 1 covers the main fields of activity in standardization, e.g. road vehicle engineering, agriculture, metallurgy.

Each field has a two-digit notation, e.g.

  43    Road Vehicle Engineering

The main fields are subdivided into groups (level 2). The notation of a group consists of the field notation and a three-digit group number, separated by a point, e.g.

  43.040    Road vehicle systems

Some groups are further divided into sub-groups (level 3). The notation of a sub-group consists of the group notation and a two-digit number, separated by a point, e.g.

  43.040.20 Lighting, signaling and warning devices

Search also in the summary/description of the standard
