La presente Norma si occupa della sicurezza degli apparecchi elettrici portatili per la pulizia interna dei tubi la cui tensione nominale non supera i 250 V per gli apparecchi in c.c. o in c.a. monofase, e non supera i 480 V per gli apparecchi in c.a. trifase. Inoltre si applica agli apparecchi la cui potenza nominale non supera i 3 700 W. I limiti per l'applicazione di questa Norma agli apparecchi alimentati a batteria sono riportati negli Allegati K e L. La Norma si occupa dei pericoli presentati dagli utensili quando utilizzati nel loro modo previsto, nonché nelle loro condizioni di uso improprio che sono ragionevolmente prevedibili. La presente Norma non si applica agli apparecchi che per la pulizia dei tubi utilizzano inserzioni interne solide.
La presente Norma viene utilizzata congiuntamente alla Norma CEI EN 62841-1:2016-04.
La Norma in oggetto sostituisce completamente la Norma CEI EN 60745-2-21:2010-08, che rimane applicabile fino al 31-05-2023.
Questa Norma viene pubblicata dal CEI nella sola lingua inglese in quanto particolarmente mirata a settori specialistici.
La presente Norma recepisce il testo originale inglese della Pubblicazione IEC.

ICS

International Classification for Standards (ICS) is an international classification system for technical standards.

The ICS is a hierarchical classification organized on three levels.

Level 1 covers the main fields of activity in standardization, e.g. road vehicle engineering, agriculture, metallurgy.

Each field has a two-digit notation, e.g.

  43    Road Vehicle Engineering

The main fields are subdivided into groups (level 2). The notation of a group consists of the field notation and a three-digit group number, separated by a point, e.g.

  43.040    Road vehicle systems

Some groups are further divided into sub-groups (level 3). The notation of a sub-group consists of the group notation and a two-digit number, separated by a point, e.g.

  43.040.20 Lighting, signaling and warning devices
