La presente Norma specifica i metodi di prova per la misura delle prestazioni delle macchine lavabiancheria per uso domestico, con o senza dispositivi di riscaldamento ed alimentate con acqua calda e/o fredda. La Norma si occupa anche dei metodi di prova per la misura delle prestazioni degli apparecchi per l'estrazione dell'acqua tramite forza centrifuga (centrifughe) e degli apparecchi per il lavaggio e l'asciugatura dei tessuti (lavasciuga). Vengono inoltre trattate le macchine lavabiancheria che nelle normali operazioni di funzionamento non utilizzano detersivi.
La Norma in oggetto supera completamente la Norma CEI EN 60456:2014-04 che rimane applicabile fino al 14-12-2018 e rispetto alla quale costituisce una revisione di carattere tecnico, avendo introdotto, tra le più significative, quelle relative all'Allegato normativo ZA "Procedura di prova per una sequenza di prova combinata per il cotone a 40 °C e per il cotone a 60 °C con pieno carico e con carico parziale" dove sono state inserite correzioni e modifiche nei paragrafi:
- ZA 4.9 relativo alle misure del consumo di energia e di potenza nella modalità "left on";
- ZA 5.4 relativo alla valutazione della prestazione di centrifuga;
- ZA 5.5 relativo alla valutazione della velocità di centrifuga massima;
- ZA 5.9 relativo alla valutazione delle misure di potenza e consumo di energia in modalità "left on";
- Tabella ZA 17 relativa ai dati, parametri e risultati per le misure in modalità di basso consumo;
- ZA 5.2 relativo alla valutazione dei dati, dove è stato eliminato il riferimento all'errore RMS e sono state eliminate due formule.
Inoltre, l'Allegato normativo ZB "Tolleranze e procedure di controllo" è stato completamente riveduto nell'aspetto editoriale e sono stati aggiornati i riferimenti normativi all'interno dell'Allegato normativo ZC, nonché aggiunti i nuovi Allegati informativi ZZA e ZZB.
Questa Norma viene pubblicata dal CEI nella sola lingua inglese in quanto particolarmente mirata a settori specialistici.

ICS

International Classification for Standards (ICS) is an international classification system for technical standards.

The ICS is a hierarchical classification organized on three levels.

Level 1 covers the main fields of activity in standardization, e.g. road vehicle engineering, agriculture, metallurgy.

Each field has a two-digit notation, e.g.

The main fields are subdivided into groups (level 2). The notation of a group consists of the field notation and a three-digit group number, separated by a point, e.g.

Some groups are further divided into sub-groups (level 3). The notation of a sub-group consists of the group notation and a two-digit number, separated by a point, e.g.
