Il presente Rapporto Tecnico fornisce indicazioni sui metodi di prova dei quadri in condizioni d'arco in aria dovuto a un guasto interno, al fine di valutarne la loro attitudine nel limitare i danni al loro interno ed il rischio di lesioni alle persone, nonché valutare la loro idoneità ad un ulteriore servizio.
La procedura di prova riportata nel presente Rapporto Tecnico si applica alle apparecchiature assiemate di protezione e di manovra per bassa tensione chiuse, a pavimento o a parete, conformi alla Norma IEC 61439-2 (Quadri di potenza - Quadri PSC), nelle situazioni in cui porte o pannelli del quadro sono chiusi e correttamente fissati. Inoltre, prende in considerazione gli effetti della sovrapressione interna che agisce sui pannelli e sulle porte, nonché gli effetti termici dell'arco, o delle sue radici, sugli involucri, e gli effetti dei gas caldi e delle particelle incandescenti emesse.
Il presente Rapporto Tecnico sostituisce la CEI 17-86:2008-11.

ICS

International Classification for Standards (ICS) is an international classification system for technical standards.

The ICS is a hierarchical classification organized on three levels.

Level 1 covers the main fields of activity in standardization, e.g. road vehicle engineering, agriculture, metallurgy.

Each field has a two-digit notation, e.g.

  43    Road Vehicle Engineering

The main fields are subdivided into groups (level 2). The notation of a group consists of the field notation and a three-digit group number, separated by a point, e.g.

  43.040    Road vehicle systems

Some groups are further divided into sub-groups (level 3). The notation of a sub-group consists of the group notation and a two-digit number, separated by a point, e.g.

  43.040.20 Lighting, signaling and warning devices
