La Norma si applica alla sicurezza di base ed alle prestazioni essenziali delle apparecchiature ad ultrasuoni terapeutiche ad alta intensità. La presente Norma internazionale aggiunge o sostituisce gli articoli della Norma EN/IEC 60601-1 che sono specifici per le apparecchiature ad ultrasuoni terapeutiche ad alta intensità. Se un articolo o paragrafo è specificamente destinato ad essere applicato solo a tali apparecchiature, o a sistemi correlati con esse, il titolo e il contenuto di tale articolo o paragrafo lo specificherà esplicitamente. Se ciò non fosse specificato, l'articolo o il paragrafo varrà per singole apparecchiature o per i sistemi, a seconda della rilevanza dei casi. Pericoli relativi alla funzione fisiologica prevista dalle apparecchiature o dai sistemi che ricadono nell'ambito di applicazione di questa Norma non sono coperti da requisiti specifici in questa Norma, tranne che quanto previsto dai paragrafi 7.2.13 e 8.4.1 della Norma generale.
Questa Norma può anche essere applicata a:
- apparecchiature terapeutiche per trombolisi tramite esposizione ad ultrasuoni ad alta intensità;
- apparecchiature terapeutiche per il trattamento dei vasi occlusi tramite esposizione ad ultrasuoni focalizzati ad alta intensità;
- apparecchiature destinate ad essere utilizzate per alleviare il dolore dei tumori a causa di metastasi ossee.
Questa Norma particolare non si applica a:
- apparecchiature ad ultrasuoni utilizzate per fisioterapia (si utilizzi la EN 60601-2-5 e la EN 61689);
- apparecchiature ad ultrasuoni destinate ad essere utilizzate per la litotrissia (si utilizzi la EN 60601-2-36);
- apparecchiature ad ultrasuoni destinate ad essere utilizzate per dedicati dispositivi per ipertermia;
- apparecchiature ad ultrasuoni destinate ad essere utilizzate per la facoemulsificazione.
Questa Norma viene pubblicata dal CEI nella sola lingua inglese in quanto particolarmente mirata a settori specialistici.

ICS

International Classification for Standards (ICS) is an international classification system for technical standards.

The ICS is a hierarchical classification organized on three levels.

Level 1 covers the main fields of activity in standardization, e.g. road vehicle engineering, agriculture, metallurgy.

Each field has a two-digit notation, e.g.

  43    Road Vehicle Engineering

The main fields are subdivided into groups (level 2). The notation of a group consists of the field notation and a three-digit group number, separated by a point, e.g.

  43.040    Road vehicle systems

Some groups are further divided into sub-groups (level 3). The notation of a sub-group consists of the group notation and a two-digit number, separated by a point, e.g.

  43.040.20 Lighting, signaling and warning devices

Search also in the summary/description of the standard
