La presente Norma si applica alle procedure per la manipolazione del gas SF6 durante l'installazione, la messa in servizio, le manovre normali o anormali, lo smaltimento a fine vita dell'apparecchiatura di manovra e comando ad alta tensione. Tali procedure sono da intendere come le prescrizioni minime per assicurare la sicurezza del personale che lavora con il gas SF6 e per ridurre al minimo le emissioni nell'atmosfera.
In generale, la Norma si applica anche alle miscele di gas contenente SF6.
La Norma introduce le seguenti modifiche tecniche significative rispetto al precedente Rapporto Tecnico CEI CLC/TR 62271-303:2011-04 che rimane applicabile fino al 30-09-2016:
a) la descrizione degli effetti potenziali sulla salute dei prodotti di decomposizione del gas SF6 è stata sostituita da metodi di calcolo per la valutazione degli effetti potenziali sulla salute dei prodotti di decomposizione del gas SF6;
b) sono state aggiunte informazioni sulla rigenerazione criogenica;
c) sono state aggiunte informazioni sulle procedure per la manipolazione delle più comuni miscele di gas SF6.

La presente Norma riporta il testo in inglese e italiano della EN 62271-4; rispetto al precedente fascicolo n. 13661E di luglio 2014, essa contiene la traduzione completa della EN sopra indicata.
La presente Norma é annullata e sostituita dalla Nuova edizione, CEI EN IEC 62271-4:2023-02 (CEI 17-139), tuttavia rimane applicabile fino al 26-08-2025.

ICS

International Classification for Standards (ICS) is an international classification system for technical standards.

The ICS is a hierarchical classification organized on three levels.

Level 1 covers the main fields of activity in standardization, e.g. road vehicle engineering, agriculture, metallurgy.

Each field has a two-digit notation, e.g.

The main fields are subdivided into groups (level 2). The notation of a group consists of the field notation and a three-digit group number, separated by a point, e.g.
