La presente Norma si applica ai trasmettitori che hanno o una uscita analogica normalizzata in corrente oppure una uscita analogica normalizzata in pressione, secondo la IEC 60381-1 o la EN/IEC 60382.
Le prove qui delineate possono essere applicate ai trasmettitori che hanno altri segnali di uscita, a patto che siano fatte le debite considerazioni.
Per certi tipi di trasmettitori per i quali il sensore è parte integrante del trasmettitore (per esempio analizzatori chimici o flussimetri) può essere necessario consultare altre norme specifiche IEC o ISO.
Con questa norma si intendono fornire metodi tecnici per ispezionare e fare prove individuali di trasmettitori, per esempio, in occasione di prove di accettazione o dopo una riparazione. Se concordato tra le parti, per l'esecuzione delle prove non è necessario ricorrere ad un laboratorio accreditato, così come costruttore e utilizzatore dovrebbero concordare dei criteri quantitativi per definire quali prestazioni siano accettabili.
Per una valutazione esaustiva si dovrebbero usare la norma CEI EN 60770-1 e la norma CEI EN 60770-3 rispettivamente per trasmettitori analogici e per trasmettitori intelligenti. Alla CEI EN 60770-3 occorre fare ricorso anche per i metodi di ispezione e di prova individuale applicabili ai trasmettitori intelligenti.
La presente Norma viene utilizzata congiuntamente alle Norme EN 61298-1, EN 61298-2, EN 61298-3 e EN 61298-4.
La Norma in oggetto sostituisce completamente la Norma CEI EN 60770-2:2003-11.
La presente Norma riporta il testo in inglese e italiano della EN 60770-2; rispetto al precedente fascicolo n. 11867E di aprile 2012, essa contiene la traduzione completa della EN sopra indicata.

La presente Norma è abrogata con foglio di abrogazione CEI 65;Ab1:2024-07

ICS

International Classification for Standards (ICS) is an international classification system for technical standards.

The ICS is a hierarchical classification organized on three levels.

Level 1 covers the main fields of activity in standardization, e.g. road vehicle engineering, agriculture, metallurgy.

Each field has a two-digit notation, e.g.

  43    Road Vehicle Engineering

The main fields are subdivided into groups (level 2). The notation of a group consists of the field notation and a three-digit group number, separated by a point, e.g.

  43.040    Road vehicle systems

Some groups are further divided into sub-groups (level 3). The notation of a sub-group consists of the group notation and a two-digit number, separated by a point, e.g.

  43.040.20 Lighting, signaling and warning devices
