Questa Norma fa parte della serie EN/IEC 60068 relativa alle prove ambientali ed in particolare si occupa delle prove climatiche riguardanti il caldo umido in regime stazionario.
In essa viene descritto un metodo per determinare la capacità di componenti, dispositivi ed apparecchiature elettriche/elettroniche a sopportare trasporto, immagazinamento ed utilizzo in condizioni di elevata umidità.
Scopo della prova è quello di valutare gli effetti della forte umidità a temperatura costante senza condensa su di un oggetto in prova in un periodo di tempo prestabilito.
La prova è applicabile a componenti, dispostivi ed apparecchiature di piccole dimensioni ed anche ad apparecchi grandi. Inoltre si applica a campioni che dissipano o che non dissipano il calore.
La Norma descrive la camera di prova, le severità da applicare e le tolleranze, il sistema di misura ed il test-report.
La Norma in oggetto sostituisce completamente la Norma CEI EN 60068-2-78:2002-03, che rimane applicabile fino al 03-12-2015.

ICS

International Classification for Standards (ICS) is an international classification system for technical standards.

The ICS is a hierarchical classification organized on three levels.

Level 1 covers the main fields of activity in standardization, e.g. road vehicle engineering, agriculture, metallurgy.

Each field has a two-digit notation, e.g.

  43    Road Vehicle Engineering

The main fields are subdivided into groups (level 2). The notation of a group consists of the field notation and a three-digit group number, separated by a point, e.g.

  43.040    Road vehicle systems

Some groups are further divided into sub-groups (level 3). The notation of a sub-group consists of the group notation and a two-digit number, separated by a point, e.g.

  43.040.20 Lighting, signaling and warning devices
