Questa parte della serie EN/IEC 61784-3 fornisce dei criteri di base che possono essere utilizzati nella trasmissione di messaggi importanti da un punto di vista della sicurezza. Detti messaggi sono scambiati tra vari partecipanti nell'ambito di una rete distribuita che utilizza tecnologia a bus di campo in accordo con la serie EN/IEC 61508 per la sicurezza funzionale.
I criteri qui indicati possono essere utilizzati in molteplici applicazioni industriali come controllo di processo, produzione e lavorazione automatizzata, ecc.
Si descrivono inoltre diversi profili di sicurezza funzionale per varie famiglie di profili di comunicazione e livelli di protocollo per le tecnologie dei bus di campo come da EN/IEC 61784-1, EN/IEC 61784-2 e serie EN/IEC 61158.
Poiché tutti i sistemi nel corso della loro vita utile sono esposti ad accessi non autorizzati, sarà necessario considerare ulteriori misure protettive in tutte le applicazioni con implicazioni di sicurezza, principalmente riferendosi alla Norma IEC 62443, alla quale vi sono pertanto idonei riferimenti.
Ulteriori requisiti specifici si trovano anche nella EN/IEC 61784-44.
La Norma non tratta la sicurezza elettrica - ad esempio con riferimento allo shock elettrico - e gli aspetti di sicurezza intrinseca, ad esempio quella associata al caso di atmosfera potenzialmente esplosiva.
Questa Norma è una revisione tecnica della precedente edizione, con nuovi requisiti, riferimenti aggiornati, definizioni più appropriate, sottoparti aggiuntive, un allegato informativo che contiene una guida alla valutazione e un altro allegato con informazioni sui laboratori di prova per la valutazione di prodotti FSCP.
La Norma in oggetto sostituisce completamente la Norma CEI EN 61784-3:2010-04, che rimane applicabile fino al 01-07-2013.
Questa Norma viene pubblicata dal CEI nella sola lingua inglese in quanto particolarmente mirata a settori specialistici.

La presente Norma é annullata e sostituita dalla Nuova edizione, CEI EN 61784-3:2017-02 (CEI 65-196), tuttavia rimane applicabile fino al 17-06-2019.

ICS

International Classification for Standards (ICS) is an international classification system for technical standards.

The ICS is a hierarchical classification organized on three levels.

Level 1 covers the main fields of activity in standardization, e.g. road vehicle engineering, agriculture, metallurgy.

Each field has a two-digit notation, e.g.

  43    Road Vehicle Engineering

The main fields are subdivided into groups (level 2). The notation of a group consists of the field notation and a three-digit group number, separated by a point, e.g.

  43.040    Road vehicle systems

Some groups are further divided into sub-groups (level 3). The notation of a sub-group consists of the group notation and a two-digit number, separated by a point, e.g.

  43.040.20 Lighting, signaling and warning devices

Search also in the summary/description of the standard
