La presente Norma fa parte della serie IEC/EN 60068 relativa alle prove ambientali ed in particolare essa è dedicata alle prove per le vibrazioni aleatorie a larga banda.
Scopo della presente Norma è la valutazione della capacità di un campione di sopportare carichi dinamici senza scadimenti inaccettabili della sua integrità funzionale e strutturale quando viene sottoposto alle vibrazioni aleatorie prescritte dalla prova.
Le vibrazioni aleatorie a larga banda possono essere usate per identificare gli effetti delle sollecitazioni accumulate, l’indebolimento meccanico conseguente e il degrado delle prestazioni.
La Norma si applica a quei prodotti (principalmente campioni non imballati e non confezionati) che possono essere soggetti a vibrazioni di natura stocastica causate dal trasporto o dal normale uso operativo (es. veicoli spaziali o terrestri).
Per i prodotti imballati si deve usare anche la CEI EN 60068-2-47.
La presente Norma riporta il testo in inglese e italiano della EN 60068-2-64; rispetto al precedente fascicolo n. 10173E di gennaio 2010, essa contiene la traduzione completa della EN sopra indicata.

ICS

International Classification for Standards (ICS) is an international classification system for technical standards.

The ICS is a hierarchical classification organized on three levels.

Level 1 covers the main fields of activity in standardization, e.g. road vehicle engineering, agriculture, metallurgy.

Each field has a two-digit notation, e.g.

  43    Road Vehicle Engineering

The main fields are subdivided into groups (level 2). The notation of a group consists of the field notation and a three-digit group number, separated by a point, e.g.

  43.040    Road vehicle systems

Some groups are further divided into sub-groups (level 3). The notation of a sub-group consists of the group notation and a two-digit number, separated by a point, e.g.

  43.040.20 Lighting, signaling and warning devices
