La presente Norma fa parte della serie EN/IEC 60335 relativa alla sicurezza degli apparecchi elettrici d'uso domestico e similare. In particolare si occupa degli apparecchi per la refrigerazione commerciale comprendenti un'unità di condensazione del fluido frigorifero, o un compressore, incorporato o remoto. Questi apparecchi possono avere il compressore incorporato o vengono forniti in due unità da assemblare come un unico apparecchio.
La Norma si applica ad apparecchi che abbiano un carico di refrigerante infiammabile inferiore a 150 g in ciascun circuito refrigerante separato.
Esempi di tali tipi di apparecchi sono: espositori ed armadi di conservazione refrigeranti, carrelli refrigeranti, banchi di servizio e self-service, refrigeratori e congelatori a getto d’aria.
La Norma non si applica invece ad apparecchi di refrigerazione per uso domestico, a sistemi industriali di refrigerazione, ai motocompressori, ai distributori automatici e agli apparecchi per la vendita, alle gelatiere ed ai produttori di ghiaccio per uso commerciale, alle camere a bassa temperatura, alle camere multiple refrigerate con compressore remoto.
Essa è allineata ai requisiti della Direttiva Bassa Tensione (2006/95/CE) ed a quelli della Direttiva Macchine.
La presente Norma viene utilizzata congiuntamente alla Norma CEI EN 60335-1:2008-07.
Questa Norma sostituisce la CEI EN 60335-2-89:2004-04 che rimane applicabile fino al 01-03-2013.
La presente Norma riporta il testo in inglese e italiano della EN 60335-2-89; rispetto al precedente fascicolo n. 11180E di aprile 2011, essa contiene la traduzione completa della EN sopra indicata.
La presente Norma é annullata e sostituita dalla Nuova edizione, CEI EN IEC 60335-2-89:2023-01 (CEI 61-239), tuttavia rimane applicabile fino al 04-05-2025.

ICS

International Classification for Standards (ICS) is an international classification system for technical standards.

The ICS is a hierarchical classification organized on three levels.

Level 1 covers the main fields of activity in standardization, e.g. road vehicle engineering, agriculture, metallurgy.

Each field has a two-digit notation, e.g.

  43    Road Vehicle Engineering

The main fields are subdivided into groups (level 2). The notation of a group consists of the field notation and a three-digit group number, separated by a point, e.g.

  43.040    Road vehicle systems

Some groups are further divided into sub-groups (level 3). The notation of a sub-group consists of the group notation and a two-digit number, separated by a point, e.g.

  43.040.20 Lighting, signaling and warning devices
